![]() I noticed this when I wanted to change radio stations which is kind of a hassle on the controller. The keyboard doesn't work if you have any of the controls pressed on the gamepad and vice-versa. That could imply that the game makes a substantial distinction between "controller mode" and "keyboard/mouse mode," as opposed to games that recognize controller inputs but still show a mouse cursor and keyboard prompts. One of the things that I noticed (and appreciated, since it doesn't seem as common a feature as it should be) was that as soon as I started to use my controller while on the main menu, the mouse cursor disappeared. This is problematic for a variety of reasons, but it especially effects games like Saints Row that support both mouse/keyboard and controller, and that pay attention to the most recent device to generate input since the mouse is constantly generating input, the controller gets shouted down.) (There are a few mice that constantly generate mouse-moved events in Windows, rather than only sending events when the mouse actually moves. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you, unless you have a chatty mouse. GDDR5 RAM’s memory bandwidth is considerably larger than DDR3 (approximately 2.5X), thus technically faster and again, could result in improved performance over the XboxOne in future releases.Īgain, this is mostly irrelevant (other than the Price!), the decision is better based on which System has the Games you like/prefer.One of the FAQs suggests unplugging and replugging the controller while the game is running. Memory - The RAM used in the PS4 is GDDR5, the XBoxOne uses DDR3. Graphic Processor - The PS4's GPU although the same design has 18 compute units (Cores) compared to 12 on the XBoxOne's which may result in better graphics in future releases.ģ. Price - The XBoxOne is a higher cost as it contains an improved Kinect controller (motion detector), the PS4's similar device (PlayStation Camera) is an additional purchase and (arguably) inferior.Ģ. In real terms they are practically identical in architecture (using the same 8 Core CPU (2X 4 Core ‘Jaguar’ Modules) and a similar GPU) and both use Blue Ray Optical Drives. They have subsequently both been superseded by the XBoxOne and PS4 in late 2013. The XBox360 was released in late 2005 and the PS3 in late 2005 (Japan) and early 2006 in other territories. Q.' When is Microsoft coming out with something new because it has been almost a year since the release of the Xbox 360 and if I get an Xbox 360 I don’t want a new Xbox to come out right away?'Ī. The reason is Blue Ray uses a blue laser (hence the name!) to read the disc (DVD uses a red one), the result is that it can scan far smaller pits and more layers on the Disc, more information can be stored (a maximum of 128GB compared to 8.5 for DVD). The MAIN advantage of the PS3 however (for most users) is that it uses Blue Ray as its Optical Drive (compared to DVD on the Xbox360) so ‘Blue Ray’ Films can be played on it, which is a vastly superior picture/sound format to DVD. Technical specs such as 'X' System has better graphics or 'Y' System has better sound can always be argued by Fans of the Format (and often are!), what actually matters is the Software, if one has Games you prefer more than another, its irrelevant. ![]() ![]() However, developers found it much harder to program for, the result is many Tiles that were released on both Systems were not 'Optimised' for the PS3 and there is often little difference between them. It could be argued the PS3 has superior graphics to the XBox360 for exclusive Titles written especially for the Hardware as its CPU (Cell Processor) is technically far more powerful than the XBox360's CPU (Power PC Xenon). Haven't you ever heard the phrase 'Mum Knows Best'? lol. 'I am planning to get the Xbox 360 right now but my mom says I should get a PS3 because the PS3 will be much better graphic wise and by the games.'Ī. Welcome to the Forum, although I think you may be on the wrong one (this is a Forum for the Raspberry Pi), I'm happy to help!
